Parker Mountain Lodge, New Hampshire | Intimate Bohemian Elopement Editorial
My dearest India,
I vow to love you without reservation or restraint - for our love is a fierce, untamed kind of love.
In you, I have found a soul mate to run wild and free with.
To wander this world for all our days, with our hearts wide open to the adventures before us and the love rooted between us.
Our love was born in the wind, in the mud, and in the earth.
And it is there we will continue to love, through every peak and valley, through the chaos and the calm - for you, my India, are my everything.
As wedding season comes to a close and winter creeps its way in here in New England, I often feel the desire, the pull, to let my creativity run free and plan an editorial (also known as a styled) shoot with my fellow wedding vendors to bring a new vision of mine to life. These collaborations give us the opportunity to create new relationships within our industry, to inspire other brides and grooms-to-be as they envision how their own wedding will look, and to submit our hard work to worldwide wedding blogs for the possibility of publication and increased exposure.
I was joined by Wild + Wed, a new planner to the scene, to design and execute this bohemian, vintage elopement with a fabulous team of wedding professionals who hopped on board. The downright beautiful Parker Mountain Lodge was our gracious host - a rustic 19th century estate nestled on a beautiful pond in Strafford, New Hampshire.
Our editorial was designed with the free-spirited bride in mind, from the stunning Medina gown by Rue De Seine, to bohemian decor accents that included macrame, antler-inspired mugs, wild and whimsical floral arrangements, funky air plants, and a delicate flower crown made for our “boho” bride. On what was a frigid and wet winter’s day, our bride and groom were all for the cozy hot cocoa bar we had in store for them (see the delicious spread below).
It's such a rewarding experience to see weeks of planning and coordination pay off exactly the way you wanted it to. I can only hope that these images provide inspiration to the free-spirited bride - the one who values intimacy, intentionality in her wedding design, and of course, the bride who isn't afraid to embrace the elements with the person she has chosen to run wild and free with.
Hayden, my love,
You are my today and all of my tomorrows.
As the stars belong to the sky, I belong to you.
As these snowy flakes fall to the earth in a wild descent, I too fall to your safe embrace.
My soul has chosen yours from the moment we met - maybe even long before.
And today, I vow to choose you each and every day, knowing that there are still trails we must travel and mountains we have yet to climb.
I vow to never stop exploring the depths of my love for you. For you, my Hayden, give me life.
