Alex + Mike | Woodsy Fall Engagement Session
“Love should feel secure, but wild.”
Natural. Comfortable. Fun. A little crazy.
These are just a few words that come to mind while witnessing Alex and Mike’s love and getting to know them as parts of a whole.
They met in high school, but it wasn’t until after college that Alex and Mike reconnected and kicked off this love story, both working together as bartenders. As Alex told me, “I can remember working with him and my cheeks would literally hurt at the end of the night because I was always smiling so hard.” And I can see why - these two giggled their way through our engagement session in the trees and castle ruins of Madame Sherri Forest, till the point where I’m sure their cheeks were feeling the effect as we parted ways.
It was a bit of a voyage for us both to reach the forest in Chesterfield, New Hampshire - myself coming from the Seacoast and Alex and Mike traveling up from their hometown in North Providence, Rhode Island. But Madame Sherri’s Castle did not disappoint, and neither did our final destination in the forest, Indian Pond - so still and quiet that I’m sure our laughter carried clear all the way to the other side. And while the fall foliage was a bit shy of peak, we were still rewarded with glimpses of autumn in muted oranges and yellows along the way.
What big hearts Alex and Mike have. I can’t wait to reconnect with them next June at the Barn at Flanagan Farm!
